Is Reverse Osmosis Water Acidic?

Updated: May 1, 2023

The filtration process called reverse osmosis cleans up water at a molecular level, meaning that all the contaminants and minerals will be removed from the water. These minerals are the ones that stabilize the PH of the water and if we have none, water tends to be rather acidic between 6-6.5 PH. On the other hand, too many of these minerals will make your water alkaline, with a PH over 9, which, if consumed in large amounts, could have adverse effects in your body by disrupting the natural acidity of your stomach.

So, what is the right thing to do?

Re-mineralizing your RO water is the best thing to do. This will stabilize the PH of the water by adding a beneficial balance of minerals.

This is what we offer you at Serenity Water because you and your family deserve the best.

Of course, if you decide to have just a regular RO system without re-mineralizing, we have the system for you as well.
